Second Helping is a modern British homeware brand founded by Matilda Bea, born from a lifelong love of hosting long lunches and dinner parties in her London home.
Hand-painted butter dishes and embossed lacquered matchbox sleeves, made to be used every day and left on display. We designed and built the whole Shopify store to carry that same warmth and wit online, from the burgundy-and-pink palette to copy that never takes itself too seriously.
Too beautiful to put away
The product is the hero, so the store is built around photography. Product pages pair crisp studio shots with lifestyle imagery that shows each piece at the table, alongside colourway swatches, gift notes and pre-order messaging for new drops.
Founder story, a Host's Notes journal and an "at yours" feed of customers' tables give the brand room to be more than a shop.
